This Privacy Policy explains how Human Machines handles information when you visit our website, purchase HM01 - Vault (“Vault”), activate a license, or contact us. We do not run advertising trackers or in-app usage telemetry. The website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that does not identify individual visitors.

2. Information we handle
Website visits
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics tool that collects aggregate, non-identifying information such as page views, referring sources, and approximate country. It does not fingerprint visitors or store personal data. Our hosting provider may also process ordinary technical request information, such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of request, to deliver and secure the website.
Purchases and license delivery
Lemon Squeezy processes purchases and may collect payment, billing, country, order, and tax information under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. We may receive the email address, order details, and license information needed to deliver and support your purchase.
License activation and validation
Vault connects to the Lemon Squeezy license API using your license key and, when required, an app-generated device identifier. The app does not upload your audio files, Ableton Sets, library paths, browser index, crates, spaces, or other creative content for licensing. Vault stores the local license record and verification state on your Mac to remember activation and support a limited offline grace period. It does not use this information for advertising or behavioral profiling.
Support
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, such as your operating-system version, Ableton Live version, Vault version, screenshots, or diagnostic details. We use it to respond and provide support.
3. Why we use information
We use information only as needed to:
- deliver and support purchases;
- activate, validate, and deactivate licenses;
- respond to support requests;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized license sharing; and
- meet legal, tax, accounting, and security obligations.
4. Retention
We keep purchase, license, and support records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Vault, support customers, prevent fraud, and meet legal and accounting obligations.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the use of your personal information, and to receive a portable copy of information you provided. To make a request, email support@humanmachines.xyz. We may verify your request and retain information where the law requires it.
6. Changes
We may update this policy when our product, providers, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date shows when the current version was prepared.
