Human+Machines makes tools for producers — small, sharp, and done when they're done. We build the thing we needed, we polish it until it disappears into the workflow, and then we sell it once. No subscriptions, no telemetry theatre, no roadmap promises.
Our first product is HM 01 — a browser for Ableton Live. It started as a personal itch: forty gigabytes of samples and a browser built for someone else's filing system. Every design decision in HM 01 comes from hours in front of a set, not a focus group.
The naming is deliberate. HM 01 is the first machine in the lineup — numbered like gear, built like gear. More will follow. Each one small, each one sharp.
Read-only by default
Tools that touch your creative work start from a position of trust. HM 01 reads Live's index and never writes to it.
